Just as Irish Whiskey is experiencing a return of visitors to the growing number of working distilleries on the island of Ireland, Casks Away is unfortunately folding.
Setting up a fledging company before the world turned upside down due to COVID wasn’t exactly the best timing.
Coming out of COVID brought renewed vigour, but an unfortunate & unexpected health issue prevented me from driving the Whiskey Bus.
Hard decisions and difficult choices were taken.
The bus has been sold on to pastures new & Casks Away is being wound down.
I would love to ferry folks around the vibrant Irish Whiskey scene.
Unfortunately I no longer have the drive, energy & full fitness required to achieve that goal.
May the road rise up to meet you!
